Recommended by Guy Fiery, Krazy fish is a must try. It offers a delicious combination of Louisiana-style seafood and exotic spices. I recommend the infamous creole dish. So creamy, so heart-warming, and so satisfying. You'd be krazy if you don't get it ;)

Not going to lie... I was a little nervous to try this place. The reviews were amazing years ago, but recently there have been a lot of polarizing reviews. Needless to say, I am SO glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews, because krazy fish absolutely exceeded my expectations. Per recommendations from other reviews, we went with the Szechuan salmon tacos, the blackened mahi tacos, and the jalapeño cheese grit soufflé. Both tacos were filled with generous amounts of fish, and the fish was cooked perfectly. The flavors were amazing, and the tortillas were fresh and held together well. Not only that, but the prices were great too! 2 hearty tacos and a side for ~$12! I did not get a drink, but my friend got the coconut margarita and said it was good (and strong!). We will definitely return!

If you are looking for a funky little joint with lots to look at while you wait on your food, this place is definitely eye candy. And the food is good too! We visited because it was featured on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-ins and Dives and I have to tell you that my two kids were underwhelmed by their dishes. But mine was out of this world good. So, we averaged it out to 4 stars. They have a cool patio that you can sit on when the weather is cooler, but it just overlooks Central so not sure I'd go out there unless there happened to be music. The hamburger and buffalo shrimp tacos were "meh" but I had the Seafood Creole and that was super good! It was so flipping huge I ate off that for 3 days. Kids thought it was more hype, I thought it was yummy. Give it a try!

This is not our first time coming to Krazy Fish, whenever we do come though (before COVID) we always had an awesome server named Jerry. To our surprise when we arrived and asked to sit outside, he was still here! He is a joy and full of energy!! We started off with the clam strips, which were really good! My husband got the seafood creole, of course I took a bite. He had no complaints & neither did I. I got the special seafood tortellini pasta which wasn't slacking either, the toast on the side was even nice and buttered. We will definitely be back! Make sure y'all ask for Jerry he will make your time at Krazy Fish worth while & enjoyable!

Everything from the appetizer to the entrees was amazing!! The pictures of the salmon tacos do not do them justice. Super good. The mussels appetizer was sooo good that the sauce could be a soup of you just add some veggies and shrimp. Served with a spoon I was guilty of eating it like soup. The seafood creole was very rich in flavor. My son had the calamari Po' boy that he demolished. I can't believe we have lived in Charlotte this long and haven't been here yet. Totally forgot to take a picture till we ate some of the creole.

So glad we tried this! We love trying places from DDD and this was one! We ordered the calamari and that was delicious. I've never had calamari served with a red sauce because I'm from the Midwest and they always serve it with a side of some white creamy sauce. For my entree I ordered the seafood creole and it was SO GOOD except I had never tried scallops and that was new. I didn't expect the fishy like flavor from the scallops but nonetheless they were good. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits and wow. The jalapeño cheddar grits were the best grits I've ever had. So good!! The only thing he didn't like was the mango pineapple sauce. It was very sweet so next time he will order it without or on the side. The cornbread wasn't all that great but we will definitely be back.

I first came hear a couple of years ago after seeing this place on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. My Dad and I went here yesterday specifically to have their Thai Mussels appetizer. When we've been here other times, this was outstanding. The combination of the Thai curry sauce with the mussels and bread is hard to beat. This time, the sauce and bread were up to par, but the mussels were not. For some reason, except for one mussel, these mussels had very little meat on them. Mostly shell with a dot of meat.

Well, I decided to return since my fiance and I had come here back in December and had a great dinner. We really, really loved the fish tacos and mussels we got then. I wish I would have stuck with that winning combo, but I decided to try something different. I got the Seafood Diablo and it was ok.... not sure why it's not over the top amazing considering there's plenty of lobster, scallops, chicken, etc. in here. But the flavor is just meh. The first time they brought it to the table it was downright bland. I said something to the server... they did remake it, but it seemed they just added hot sauce to it. It lacked a depth of flavor. It was a huge portion of sauce with the meat, but hardly any rice. But I took the remainder home, made rice and got 3 meals out of it. So if you just want something filling, go for it... But the salmon tacos are where it's at. That's what I got back in December. Also, the Thai mussels are so darn good I literally licked each shell trying to lap up that scrumptious sauce ! You know how you come to a restaurant and tend to order the same thing all the time at that particular restaurant ? Ok, well the salmon tacos and Thai mussels are going to be what I get every time from now on. I also got the $3 Sangia that was on special. It was very weak. For dessert we had the brownie sundae and the cheesecake tortilla. Both were really good. Our waiter was really great. There was a large group of us and he did his best to make us happy. He had a great attitude through it all.

Can't believe it's been a year since I've been to this krazy place...but again, there are just too many good restaurants in Charlotte! Anyway, this time, I decided to try their Seafood Medley in Diablo Sauce (not sure of its exact name?)...and it was quite spicy, with an abundance of seafood! I especially loved all the juicy lobster in it! Despite the deliciousness, this dish needed more rice. There was just a very small amount of rice, with a huge load of seafood and sauce. That meant not enough carbo to complement all the seafood, not to mention soaking up some of the spicy sauce! I did appreciate 2 slices of Roti on the side though. BTW, this is an extravagant looking dish, but I thought the presentation could have been a bit nicer...thought it looked sloppier than it should be? There was also a side salad that came with this entree...and though very photogenic, I didn't care too much for the overall flavor it. Then, there was the $3 special on Sangria. The first glass was a tad watered down, but the second glass was right on! I met up with a big group of gals, and the restaurant struggled a bit serving us all on time...and as expected, some of us got their plates much faster than others. I didn't really get a consensus of what others thought of their food, but some of the plates around the table looked quite delightful. Possibly in the restaurant's efforts to apologize for this delay, they treated our table to several orders of desserts to share. That was a really good move on their part! Thanks to their generous treats, I don't think anyone went home angry. Anyway, I really enjoyed my huge seafood platter plus the cheap Sangria...and felt I got my money's worth. I'd definitely recommend the Seafood in Diablo sauce. I had their Fried Seafood Medley twice in the past, and although I liked it, it was a bit heavy on the red sauce and the fried fattiness. This dish, however, was a better, smoother blend... though, again, I would have appreciated a bit more rice. Despite some ups and downs, I still give Kudos to this restaurant for its fun, fusion menu...and although this restaurant is located quite far from me, am sure to be back again in the future!
